At Xpression not only do we love organising amazing events but also attending them too, the Geneva Motorshow is no exception. This month we hopped on a plane and flew out to the show to check out what hot new models will be coming to a showroom near you. As always there was lots to see but a few models really grabbed our attention.
First was the all-new Seat Ibiza, which follows in the footsteps of it’s award winning big brother the Leon. Based on the Volkswagen Group’s high-tech MQB platform the new Ibiza is bigger than ever with striking new styling both inside and out. It’s sure to shake up the supermini class when it goes on sales later in the year.
On the Audi stand we got a chance to see the brand’s eye-catching Q8 Sport Concept in all its glory. The concept previews the new range-topper to Audi’s highly successful SUV range. It promises sharp looks and an exhilarating drive coupled with the brand’s peerless reputation for sophistication.
The award for the most interactive stand at the show has to go to ŠKODA. This year there were a handful of fun and activities to take part in guiding visitors around the stand earning stickers that could be traded in for a prize at the end. There was also the opportunity to get a first look at the freshly revamped Octavia in sizzling VRS form that was definitely one of the stars of the show.
Before leaving the show we couldn’t resist stopping at the Kia stand to take a look at the jaw-dropping new Stinger, which is the brands first entry into the UK luxury car market. It’s not just good to look at either with its all-new rear-wheel-drive chassis and gutsy twin-turbo V6 engine the Stinger is sure to be a corker to drive.
The hardest part of our day was leaving the show but with a busy events schedule waiting for us back in the UK needs must. One thing’s for sure; we will definitely be back next year!
